We’ve also updated our full-size fitness room with all new equipment so you can keep up with your workout routines. To top off all these changes, we refinished the entire exterior of the hotel with a warm sand color to remind you of the beach right across the way.
Get to Know Our Owner, Crawford Ker
National Football League (NFL) alumnus and founder of Ker’s WingHouse Bar & Grill, Crawford Ker is now adding hotel mogul under his umbrella of success with the purchase of The BeachView Hotel (formerly the BeachView Inn). With his dedication and vision, The BeachView Hotel is on its way to becoming the best local hotel on one of America’s finest beaches.
As a young man growing up in Dunedin, he worked his way up the ladder in a neighborhood restaurant. During his junior year at Dunedin High School, he started playing football. He then attended Arizona Western College where his talents and skills caught the eye of The Florida Gators football coaches who offered Ker an athletic scholarship his final two years in college. His nickname was “Big Daddy,” and he could bench-press 515 pounds, making him one of the strongest college football players of his day. The NFL draft soon followed and Ker was hired by the Dallas Cowboys. After four years with the Cowboys, Ker signed as a free agent with the Denver Broncos. He retired from football in 1992.
Ker went on to become the founder and CEO of Ker’s WingHouse Bar & Grill in 1994. Over the years, Ker has been involved in community charitable efforts, including an annual golf classic benefiting All Children’s Hospital, as well as his famous Ker’s Christmas, in which he purchases toys for local children and provides a meal to their families.
